 Historic Downtown Charleston
Here are some wonderful places to visit while you are our guests in this spectacular town.  Try to take at least one carriage tour and one ghost tour.  It will be fun!  Don't forget to buy a sweetgrass basket before you leave.  It is a tradition kept alive in the Low Country for over 250 years by our native citizens whose families came from Africa.

Whether you're looking for a vacation, retirement or relocation destination,
the charming historic seaport of Charleston, SC has something for everyone.
Charleston is a place I call paradise. It easy pace of of life and its community
closeness reminds me of the sophistication of the Old World.
Settled in 1670 by English colonists, Charleston attracted many immigrants
because of its tolerance of religious freedom. Something the settlers strived
and searched for in coming to Charleston. Charleston has often played an
important role in American history, including being the site of the beginning
of the Civil War. Its well-preserved architecture and history are evident throughout
the city and on the historic plantations and gardens just a short drive away.
Visiting the museums and historic tours offer even more insight into Charleston, SC's
fascinating 300 year history. There's never a dull moment in Charleston, with
lively festivals and cultural events happening throughout the year. Charleston, SC
is also full of outstanding shopping and dining opportunities. Charleston's
mild coastal climate makes playing Charleston's world-class golf courses and
exploring the miles and miles of unspoiled beaches and marshlands pleasant
throughout the year. The Charleston Area, which includes Charleston, Mt. Pleasant,
North Charleston, Summerville, Goose Creek, Moncks Corner, and the enchanting
resort islands of Kiawah, Seabrook, Isle of Palms, Wild Dunes, and Sullivan's Island,
is a delightful place to vacation or live.
